Split Vinegar on Limestone Tiles

22nd July, 2012

If you have accidentally split vinegar on limestone tiles then it may create stains due to such spills. Vinegar has acidic contents in it and it will penetrate the tiles to create stains and damages them which will not only be bad for their looks but also for their durability and strength.

Vinegar spills on limestone tiles will eat away the coatings on them that are applied before they were laid down. Resulting stain could be unsightly and irritating. It is therefore necessary removing the stains and reapplying the coating to get back the original shine and décor of the tiles.

Only way to rectify the damages that are caused to the limestone tiles due to the vinegar spills is using burnishing. However for applying the same you will require a buffing machine with high speed so as to achieve the desired results. Conversely you can consider calling one of the experts that would work as the tile doctor and address the problem.
